Sowing cucumbers .

Sowing is probably the most common method of propagating cucumbers . Direct sowing in the garden can be quite easy, but cucumbers need warm temperatures to germinate and the seeds may take several weeks to emerge.

The best time to plant cucumbers is in spring or early summer, when soil temperatures are warm enough . Before planting, be sure to prepare the soil by adding organic matter, such as manure or compost.

Seeds can be sown in rows 15-20 cm apart , with a depth of about 2-3 cm. Once the seeds are planted, cover them well with soil and water gently.
