Homemade whole wheat cookies with 3 ingredients and healthier

If you just have some free time, you can take advantage of it by preparing these whole wheat cookies. They are very delicious and healthy, ideal to share with the family.

The best thing about these is that we will only use 3 main ingredients (there are another 2 more, but those are added so that these cookies come out perfect and you can even change them to your liking).

They are very easy to make, so much so that you can call your children to help you prepare. As long as you follow the recipe step by step, there is no need to worry, they will turn out perfect.

For these delicious cookies, you will need:

Ingredients
200 gr. oat flour or whole wheat flour

125 gr. of Manteca

100 gr. of Mascabo Sugar

1/2 pound of Canela

1/2 pound of Bicarbonate

A pinch of salt

Preparation
To start, I recommend that you have all the ingredients on hand to facilitate preparation. Having said that, we grab a bowl and add the whole wheat flour, the muscabo sugar, the cinnamon, the baking soda and a pinch of salt.

With the help of our hands, we mix these dry ingredients well. We leave the bowl for a moment and start to melt the butter (you can do it in the microwave or on a stove).

When you have the butter at the desired point, pour it into the dry ingredients. We mix everything in the bowl well until we get a homogeneous mass.

Then we let it rest in the refrigerator until it hardens a little (it takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes).

Meanwhile, we can prepare an oven-safe plate. You can grease (either with oil or butter) well all over the base or use parchment paper, the important thing is to use something so they don’t stick.

We take portions of the dough and give it the typical cookie shape. It is important that they are of the same thickness and size so that they cook evenly, also leaving them a little apart so that they do not stick.

Once we finish making the cookies, we send the plate to a preheated oven at 180ÂșC and let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes.

The cooking time depends on the size and thickness, the important thing is that after a few minutes you check if they are already golden brown so you can take them out of the oven.

And that’s it, you would have some delicious cookies ideal for breakfast or snack.

Depending on the quality of the sugar, this preparation may be less sweet than usual. I recommend that you add a couple of tablespoons of honey to give it that touch of sweetness.

You can change the whole wheat flour for oat flour. They are just as healthy and we would also take advantage of all the benefits and properties of oats.
