Having plants in the garden and at home is always a great idea. They not only beautify the environment, but add a touch of color and freshness to the home. In addition, many plants have especially interesting properties that can be good for your health. As they are delicate creatures, they require constant care, which is why a trick has been discovered that consists of using classic matches. What are they for? Let’s find out together.

It goes without saying that anyone who wants to have plants at home or in the garden must have a minimum of green fingers. As an alternative, it is better to adopt those specimens that do not require much care, but only a little water  during the week.

Professional nurserymen can give you all kinds of advice depending on your needs, taking into account that a plant is alive and needs a lot of care during the day and night. It starts with watering and ends with feeding and even placement.

Many of them do not like light, while others require heat and direct sunlight. Then there are some types that like dark corners of the house, while only a few of them can also be placed in the bathroom. The common denominator for all plants is external attacks, such as insects – pests and mosquitoes of various types that feed through the sap. This happens not only to the external plants, but also to them, leading directly to total dehydration and then, inevitably, death. .

During spring, it is quite normal for insects to attack plants if they are not protected by something effective. But be careful, products with chemical agents do not always work: they are often not suitable for that type of plant , or they are extremely polluting for the environment.

It is worth remembering that the causes of insect proliferation can be multiple, from climatic conditions  to greater use of stagnant water and even fertilizers that are not suitable for that type of plant.

You have to take two to four matches -depending on the size of the pot- and insert them into the ground face down. The sulfur contained inside the head melts and after a week  the match can be replaced : this procedure must be carried out for a whole month.
