Some take longer to grow, others require specific conditions. In spring, for example, you will get a good start with green onions, which are not at all difficult to grow again in water at home.

For green onions, simply cut the stems 1-2 cm from the roots, where the white part of the onions is. Put them in shallow containers with water and leave them in a sunny place (for example, on the windowsill). In 3-4 days, new shoots will be seen.
