There is a method to keep orchids thriving and having a long lifespan. Here’s what it consists of.

Wanting to have a house full of plants is because of the beauty that some of them give off and that they can give visual joy and not only that, since they are also useful for other reasons.

Suffice it to say that having plants , especially succulents, in some rooms tends to cause them to absorb all the humidity and, consequently, prevent condensation and mold from forming on the walls that we will later be forced to eliminate.

But not only that, our plants produce flowers and these are useful for insects, pollinating species that need to find solace after a long trip and find nectar to do their work, which is very useful for the ecosystem.

Thus, it is always better to have some plants in our homes, and there are many species on the market, but the most popular and purchased one that is also indicated as a very grateful gift is the orchid .

It can be found in many colors and shapes, but this plant has always been considered one of the most elegant and its maintenance is recommended even for those who do not have a green thumb.

This  plant  is distinguished by its  very rough and waxy leaves  that generally must always be cleaned with a solution that can be water and milk so that dust does not accumulate and remains shiny.

The secret method

But not everyone knows that there is a secret so that this plant does not die right away and stays alive for years and years. First of all, you have to make sure that its leaves are not rotten.

If they are, you have to remove them and place a cotton ball soaked in water between each leaf. Next, we will take our plant and see if there are aerial roots growing out of the pot. The plant is not in the pot.

If so, we fit them into another  pot  or a sufficiently large container filled with water and submerge our  plant  with the   previous pot .

In this way, the plant  and all the roots  will absorb the necessary water  and the orchid  will continue to grow exuberantly and spontaneously, blooming very large and colorful flowers.

When we see that the water  is about to run out, we will place a saucer in place of the container so that we can periodically change the water  that is released.
