Preparation

Working time: approx. 50 minutes  Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes  Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Pit the fresh cherries and cut them in half or drain the sour cherries from the jar.

Beat the eggs with sugar until fluffy. Add all other ingredients except for the cherries and mix well. Spread the dough evenly on a greased baking sheet. Spread the cherries on top, pressing down lightly if necessary.

Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C top/bottom heat (fan: 150°C) for about 45 minutes. Sprinkle with the pearl sugar while still hot. Cut the cake into about 20 equal pieces.

Note: This sheet cake is pleasantly moist and fruity and the only cake for which we do the work and pit the cherries ourselves. You can freeze it wonderfully and defrost it in portions when you spontaneously visit coffee – it doesn’t lose any of its fresh taste.Per serving 310 kcal
