Start by getting an avocado seed. You can do this by simply saving the avocado seed you have eaten. Make sure to wash it well to remove any remaining pulp.

Insert three toothpicks into the seed equidistantly and so that they are at an angle, forming a kind of tripod. This will allow you to suspend the seed over a glass of water.

Place the seed with the toothpicks facing down in a glass of water, so that the bottom half is submerged. Make sure the water covers at least half of the seed.

Place the glass in a sunny, warm place in your house. Make sure the room temperature is at least 20 degrees Celsius.

Be sure to change the water in the glass every two days, making sure to maintain the proper water level. Don’t let the seed dry out.

After a few weeks, you will begin to notice the seed cracking and a small stem sprouting. This is a sign that the seed is germinating.

Once the stem is at least 15 centimeters tall, it is time to transplant it into a pot. Make sure you use a large enough pot with good drainage.

Fill the pot with good quality potting soil and place the sprouted avocado seed in the center, making sure to cover the roots with soil.

Place the pot in a sunny place and regulate the watering, preventing the soil from drying out completely but without waterlogging it.

As the avocado tree grows, it may need to be transplanted into a larger pot or even planted in the garden if you have space available.
