This is how to clean the nozzles of the hob: with this method the flame of your stove will be as vigorous as before.
After so many years of use, it is normal to notice a change in the intensity of the flame of the gas stove. In fact, a process of obstruction of the nozzles begins, making it difficult for the flame to escape. It is a very annoying problem that can compromise the performance of what we cook and eat. There are foods that require high-heat cooking, such as some types of meat. Without the live flame the result cannot be absolutely satisfactory.
In this article we show you a method to free the nozzles from any obstruction in a simple and autonomous way. Let’s see together how to proceed in this operation.

Weak Flame: How and Why It Happens
Over the years, this problem can affect even the newest stoves. After so many years and so many meals cooked on our ceramic hob, it is inevitable that it will happen. The holes in the burner crowns become clogged due to various grease residues, dirt, and any type of liquid that could come out of the pots during cooking. The result is an irregular shape and above all a weak flame that can be more vigorous in some places and slower in others.
A stove in perfect working order must have a quiet, stable flame that does not produce any type of smoke and that has a blue color at the base. On the contrary, when it causes problems, it makes strange noises, changes intensity from one moment to the next, emits smoke and the flame is red and flickering. If all these characteristics appear in your kitchens, it is time to act and thoroughly clean the burner crowns to unclog them. Here’s how you can do it the easy way.
Eliminate the nozzle problem by following this method
To remedy definitively and not have any more problems it is possible to directly replace all the nozzles. However, this requires considerable financial expense. If you prefer to keep your hob and clean the burners, here’s what you should do. The first step is to temporarily remove all removable parts from the countertop, i.e. pan holders, flame spreaders, and burners. Then open the gas knobs to allow any waste gas to escape completely from the pipes. Finally, you need to make sure that all the nozzles are cool: otherwise it will be more difficult to unscrew the nozzles and you risk burning yourself.

The plate is then thoroughly cleaned with a vacuum cleaner to vacuum up any residue and the plate is thoroughly sanitized with the help of a reamer. After this first operation has been carried out, the vacuum cleaner should be used again to completely remove the peeling materials. You should proceed with this cleaning on each burner on the hob before reassembling everything as before.
To clean the nozzles carefully, you need to disassemble them, unscrew them with a wrench by turning it counterclockwise. The nozzle that is removed should be cleaned carefully with the help of sponges and specific detergents and left on for a few hours. After this time, in fact, the detergent will be able to remove any food and grease. Once rinsed and dried carefully, it can be reassembled. All that remains is to test the intensity of the flame: it will be strong and vigorous again.
