The laurel tree is native to the Mediterranean area, its leaves are dark green and have an unmistakable scent. In this article we explain what the benefits of bay leaves are and how they should be used to enjoy their properties.

The healing properties of bay leaves are many, and most of them have also been verified by science. Below we list the most important properties: they stimulate the appetite, are digestive, carminative, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, analgesic, astringent and relaxant.

These properties are due to the particular composition of bay leaves, rich in compounds such as folic acid, minerals (potassium, copper, iron, manganese and magnesium), vitamins (A, B and C), geraniol, terpineol, eucalyptol and many others.

The great versatility of bay leaves makes them ideal for the preparation of remedies to treat various conditions. Bay leaves offer great benefits, such as:
