The Phalanx, also called spider plant, is a tropical plant native to South Africa, widely used as a houseplant and decorative.

It is an immortelle, so it is very easy to grow and very tolerant even in case of periods of abandonment or forgetfulness.

• Sun exposure – The phalanx does not like direct light, it does well even in places where the temperature is cooler. Leaves that are too exposed will tend to turn white and burn at the tips.
• Watering: The spider plant should be watered every day with a modest amount of water. The soil should never be soggy.
• Fertilizers: You can add natural or specific fertilizers directly into the pot once a month.
• Pruning: Rarely necessary. What you should remember to do periodically is instead the removal of dry leaves.
• Infestations: These types of plants are subject to mite infestations, you can fix the problem by misting a solution of Neem oil once a week, until they have disappeared.
• Repotting – only necessary when the plant is too large for the pot it is in, you can perform a simple transplant in a larger “house”, to ensure that the roots have more space.

You can multiply the plant simply by the cloning method.
