In scientific terms, it is known as Epipremnum aureum, but popularly it is called potus, potos or telephone. It has gained fame as one of the most beautiful and popular houseplants.
Among its characteristics we could say that it is a vine that reaches up to 20 meters in height, for hanging gardens it is ideal. Its evergreen leaves are heart-shaped and alternate, making it special for decorating indoors.
In addition, another quality is that it is considered among the plants that provide shade, which is why it is located in the living room and even in the kitchen. It really grows without difficulty indoors, but always receiving very good light and having a temperature of 17º to 30º.

Procedure
- We start by cutting a small twig of the plant that has at least two leaves, with it we will propagate the plant. The cut should be diagonally and behind the node of the plant.
- Then, we remove the leaves near the cut so that it does not come into contact with water.
- Next step, place the cutting in a glass container.
- Next, immerse the plant in water. Keep in mind to change the water at least 2 times a week.
- Finally, we must monitor the growth of the roots, when this happens, only then can we transfer it to a pot.

- As it is a semi-shade plant, the light it should receive has to be indirect. The most convenient is near a window or in a bright environment, if we want to place it outside so that it receives a little sun, it has to be only a couple of hours and very careful not to burn the leaves.
Irrigation:
- As we well know, overwatering is the cause of dead plants. While it is true that it is a plant that tolerates water well, good drainage would be ideal. In other words, it is better for the plant to go a little thirsty than to live in waterlogging. The process is irreversible, too much watering will cause the water to remove the oxygen pores from the substrate, that is, the roots will not be able to breathe until they finally rot.
