There are many possibilities for recycling used cardboard rolls that are ideal for organizing your home.

If you’ve picked up a lot of toilet paper rolls at home, there’s no need to throw them away. It is possible to reuse them and transform them into numerous objects and decorations thanks to skill and creativity.

Used cardboard rolls, how to recycle them

Despite its simplicity as well as its apparent uselessness, an object such as a used roll of cardboard can be reused and become something new and original.

Every week, in all of our homes, many used cardboard rolls end up in the trash, not just toilet paper rolls, but kitchen rolls as well. However, thanks to the magic of creative recycling, these rolls can be transformed into original, useful and beautiful objects. Let’s see how they can have a big impact.

It is possible to use the rolls of paper already used to create practical cases that allow you to store electrical cables neatly inside the drawers.

We can also create beautiful pencil holders with toilet paper rolls. After you have painted them, simply use vinyl glue to assemble the rolls and create an original pencil holder, a fun gift idea.

First, we took the cardboard rolls of various sizes for recycling and cut them with a hacksaw at various heights. We will make one of 15cm, one of 7cm and 2 of 10cm.

Then we take it with a plate, place it on a cardboard to make a circular shape of about 22/23 cm, then cut the cardboard with scissors and start painting it with acrylic colors.

We can make it the color we prefer, either white or silver, then let it dry. Then we do the same with the rolls and paint them all with acrylic paint.

Then with a hot gun we hold a ribbon with pearls and make it adhere to the cardboard by putting the excess part of pearls.

We stop the tape with the beads on the edge in several places, and we do this on both sides of the cylinder. We repeat this on the other 10 cm cylinder as well.

Now always with hot glue we make a finish with the metallic silver rope. Then cover the other 2 rolls of 15 and 7 cm, passing the rope around inside and out and blocking it with hot glue.

Now we take the now dry cardboard circle and cover the outer edge with a row of ribbon beads to cover the cut and add a row of ribbon beads on the cardboard plane along the circumference.

Finally we glue the 4 coated rolls, placing the two side by side with the pearls of the same size and place the others in a specular way one in front of the other.

In this way we have created, by blocking all the used cardboard rolls, to form a very nice brush and make-up holder.
