In a world full of expensive devices and tools, sometimes the most brilliant solutions come from creativity and the simplest materials. The invention we present today, based on a video that has surprised thousands of people, is clear proof that with ingenuity, recycling and the desire to do things yourself, it is possible to create something really useful for the home.
This homemade appliance is easy to build, economical and can become an indispensable aid in everyday life. The most curious thing is that, although we could all have it at home, almost no one has done it yet.
You can then follow the procedure in the following video from the Creation Tips channel:
What do you need to build this invention?
The materials used are very accessible and you probably already have them at home:
- 1 straight wood (serves as the base structure)
- Soda can hooks (minimum 6 units)
- 1 manual or electric drilling machine
- 1 metal hanger hook
- Electrical cables with plug
- Small screws or nails
- Insulating tape
- A small electric motor (optional, depending on the function you want to add)
- Strong glue or hot glue gun
How is it put together?
- Prepare the base
Cut the wood straight to a comfortable size (approximately 30 cm) and sand the edges well to avoid chips. - Attaching the Can Hooks
Use the hole punch to make small, equidistant holes along the length of the wood. Insert the hooks from the cans, bending them carefully if necessary to secure them securely. These hooks will work as multiple fasteners for hanging objects, cables, keys, or small tools. - Add the Hanger Hook
On one end of the wood, install the metal hanger hook. It can serve as a main hanger or even to hold the entire invention on a wall or behind a door. - Electrical installation (optional)
If you want to incorporate an electrical function, such as a small light or charger, connect the wiring with a reused plug. Be sure to use electrical tape to protect the connections well and avoid hazards. - Fastening and Finishing
Reinforce the joints with screws or glue, and test each hook to support light weight without bending. You can paint or varnish the wood for a neater and more durable finish.
What is this invention for?
Depending on how it is assembled and the accessories that are added, it can have multiple functions:
- Cable organizer, small tools, or wrenches
- Improvised charger with base to support the cell phone
- Kitchen stand for light utensils
- Multifunction coat rack for small spaces
- Charging station with built-in plug
- Desk stand with lighting options if a spotlight is integrated
Tips to improve its functionality:
- Use recycled wood, but make sure it’s in good condition.
- Secure the metal hooks with small nuts if they will hold more weight.
- If you’re using it as a charging station, it has a flat rimmed base to prevent your phone from slipping.
- You can add a switch between the wiring for added security.
- Attach a small magnet if you want it to hold metal objects like scissors or screwdrivers.
A simple solution that proves that inventiveness still has a very important place in our everyday lives!
