How to Grow Cloves

The fact that we can have a Clove plant is very easy to achieve, you just have to take into account a couple of details that we will tell you below. To grow this plant, we will need:

Materials:

– Clove seeds
-Pot
-Soil
-Adherent film for food

Procedure:

1- We prepare a pot, check that it has enough holes to have good drainage. If we don’t have them, we make a couple.

2- Fill the pot with a special substrate, one of those that already come with worm humus.

3- We take the Clove seeds, which must be fresh and we will put them on the ground. The key is NOT to bury them, we will cover them only with a thin layer of soil.

4- Water well and then cover the pot with the cling film. It seems like an insignificant step however, this is what will speed up the germination process.

5- We will place the pot in a place where it receives sunlight, especially in the morning. We must be careful with the afternoon sun as it is stronger, the shoots can burn.

6- We must water when the surface is dry, it is necessary that the soil does not become waterlogged.

7- Now, we must be patient. The plant will germinate quickly, however it will take some time to develop.

8- We must take care of it from extreme temperatures.

Clove Care

1- The plant can be harvested from December to February.

2- The ideal temperature for this plant, especially in the germination period, will be 15°-20°.

3- When it is winter time to take care of our plant, we will have it inside our home since, as we mentioned before, it does not tolerate extreme climates.

This care is very simple but key when it comes to having a plant of these, otherwise it could die.
