How to collect elderflowers

We collect well-blooming elderberry sprigs in May or June, from which we make homemade, healthy elderberry juice.

We choose a dry and sunny day and find the cleanest possible places in nature with blooming elderflowers.

They should be away from roads and human activity. Carefully cut the stems with scissors or break them with your hands, holding the flower upwards so that the pollen is not lost.

We only pick flowers that have not bloomed.

We carefully place them in a basket, and after we bring them home, we carefully examine them and remove any spiders and bugs. We do not wash them with water.
