Materials Needed
- Small staples
- Small nail
- Adhesive tape
- Electric Soldering Iron (60W)
- Welding Plastic
- Oil to make work easier
- Pencil
- Steel file
- Graphite Powder
- Super glue
- 320 grit sandpaper
- Medical Alcohol for Cleaning
- Spray paint (matte black)
Procedure
- Prepare the parts: Clean the glasses and line up the broken parts using tape to secure them in their original position.
- Apply reinforcements: Use small staples and nails to reinforce the structure of the break, making sure they are well aligned.
- Plastic welding: With the 60W welder, melt welding plastic over the broken area to firmly join the parts.
- Smoothing and finishing: Use a steel file to smooth the surface and remove imperfections.
- Additional reinforcement: Apply graphite powder and super glue to improve repair resistance.
