Have you ever thought that from a single lemon leaf you can get so much more? Or a young seedling and lots of lemons? Well, yes, with a trick that is not bad today you will discover how to multiply it.

Even if you are not prepared enough and do not know much about plants, do not fear, because this trick is very easy and can give you great satisfaction. The important thing is to follow step by step what we will tell you and that’s it.

How to get a lot of lemons?

Do you want to get a lot of lemons and all in a more or less simple way? Then follow these little tips. First of all, where to look and find an adult lemon plant: this is a must-have step.

From this you will have to detach small leaves, as many as you want to obtain.

When doing this, keep in mind that it is essential to choose formed, healthy leaves, free of mold. How to get the leaves?

Simple: go to the base of the blade with one hand and hold the trunk with the other hand and pick it up, also pulling a part of the trunk, if possible.

Then put the leaves in the water to avoid the appearance of a protective film that could compromise the entire experiment and its success. Now it’s time to choose the container, a glass container is perfect: once done, fill it up to 4 cm with water and only then submerge the leaves taken.

Be careful that if you submerge a lot of leaves, the possibility of having more adult plants will increase: think that one in 10 will make the roots and the seedling.

Wait and wait….

Once this is done, you have to wait for the first roots of the petiole to appear: eyes open, it should be in contact with the water. If this goes down, go immediately to integrate it. After about 40 days you will be able to observe the roots growing in one of the leaflets. Great sign.

After another 4/5 days these will continue to grow and others will appear. You will see that in two months the whole root system will be developed : and it is precisely at this time that you have to move the leaves that have more roots in a pot of at least 10 cm in diameter and place 2 cm of expanded clay at the bottom.

Why do this? To prevent the water from stagnating, otherwise the seedlings will die. Then fill it with citrus-friendly soil and if you don’t have it, with soft, draining universal soil: now you can bury the leaves, halfway through.

Using a teaspoon, make a hole about 10 cm if the leaf is 10 cm plus 2 cm at root and 7 cm deep. Be careful with the roots, as they are fragile. Then plaster all over the floor.

Then use a steamer to wet everything and place the vase in a crucial point, or where there is a lot of light, avoiding the sun. Now all you have to do is wait for the new seedlings to hatch as described above.

Wait 40 days, then another 2 days, and then more days, for a total of 55 days and make sure everything is progressing. Are the leaves growing? And others are being born?

Difference Between Seeds and Leaves: What Is It?

In all this it is good that you observe that there is a difference between plants that are born from seeds and those that are born from leaves.

Those born as described in this article, in turn, will be able to produce fantastic flowers and fruits and this is because these plants represent a kind of clone of the mother plant.

Those that are born from seed, on the other hand, have to wait a couple of years before producing fruit and flowers. Those that are born from leaves also have thin, elongated new leaves, because the new seedling is a shoot.
