According to a study published by the National Institutes of Health, washing machines accumulate germs because their high humidity level creates the perfect conditions for the proliferation of bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus or Staphylococcus epidermidis, which cause different types of infections, for example, skin infections, pneumonia, endocarditis or even toxic shock syndrome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clean the detergent drawer of the washing machine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Take it out and submerge it in a bucket full of water, add \u00bd glass of hydrogen peroxide, four teaspoons of baking soda and the juice of two lemons. Leave to soak overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
