Growing tasty and generous tomatoes is the dream of many gardeners. After all, it is a highly appreciated food in the kitchen, both for hot and cold dishes. So it is not unusual to find a few plants in a garden. However, although growing tomatoes is not rocket science, it can happen that the plants develop a little slowly. This can make it difficult for tomatoes to grow and fatten, despite favorable weather conditions. If you have already followed all the steps to plant them successfully and use the appropriate fertilizers, there is no reason why they should not work. However, there is an unusual trick that works wonders to boost the growth of tomatoes. You will get more and bigger fruits without having to make an effort.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also use this tip to make your eggplants or peppers grow better. These vegetables love it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trick to boost your tomato plants: install tiles!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This gardener’s trick consists of placing tiles at the foot of the tomato plants. However, be careful:  don’t do it just any way<\/strong>  ! Here are the steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) Gather semi-round Norman tiles. You can easily find them second hand. And if they are a little broken or cracked in some places, that’s okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) Next, find out which direction is North.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) Place your canvas so that its back (the curved part therefore) faces North. To do this, do not place the tile directly on the stems of your tomatoes<\/strong> . You run the risk of damaging the most fragile ones. Instead, let them rest on the stake, which is secure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4) Repeat the operation with all your tomato plants and you will just have to wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this very economical trick, it is not necessary to use chemical fertilizers to enrich the soil and grow more tomatoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why does this trick work so well?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These small tiles provide excellent protection for your tomato plants. They protect them from north winds, frost and torrential rains, which can hinder their development. In addition, the hollow part creates a kind of microclimate by accumulating heat from the southern exposure.
