The work of cleaning the plants is very important and must be done with care and knowledge, that is, knowing well what tools to use for the operation, and knowing the&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>life cycle<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;of the plants that we are going to care for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>NOT all plants, shrubs and trees require pruning.&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;There are some species that do not tolerate this operation since it would irreparably harm them. Let&#8217;s find out which ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shrubs that should NOT be pruned in April<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pruning shrubs and trees that do not require it would only cause the&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>loss of flowering and serious damage<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;to the health of the vegetative species themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are the trees in question:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>abutilon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Laurel<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Honeysuckle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deutzia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>chances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hibiscus<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Henna<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fruit trees that should NOT be pruned in April<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">April is the perfect month for tree pruning as there is no longer a high risk of sudden frosts (although they can still occur), but some tree species should be left alone. These are the fruit trees that&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>should NOT be pruned<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Apple tree<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>However<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>cherry tree<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prune<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><\/strong>&nbsp;Light pruning&nbsp;<strong>could be recommended only for young specimens, because they have branches that are not conducive to their development.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>adult trees,<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;however, only&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>the branches called suckers<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;(that is, those with vertical growth) can be removed to improve ventilation between the other branches and the entry of light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>fruit trees<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;that are already several years old and have harvests behind them, it would be advisable&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>to try to pick the fruits quickly<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;to avoid the risk of them being damaged by sudden frosts or hailstorms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plants that need pruning in April<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now that we know which species of fruit trees should not be pruned, let&#8217;s see which ones do need annual cleaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pruning is especially recommended for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mimosa<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Camellia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>calicarpa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calluna<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>solanum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flower of the Passion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Apricot<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>kiwi<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Peach<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Olive<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When to prune?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pruning is an operation that allows us&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>to revive bushes and trees<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;so that they can grow healthy again after the long winter.
