To begin, we choose a cutting that is at most 2 years old and a thick one of 2-3 millimeters to be taken from our seedling. Twigs that are too young, flexible, or too old, tough, will not root.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It must be 15cm long and to do this we will use shears cutting diagonally with respect to the trunk, so that the surface that can absorb water expands. Then we remove the lower leaves and the cutting will be ready to be rooted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first method is to use water to root. We immerse the cutting in a glass with about 2cm of water and after 20 days the first roots should appear. Obviously, we can try more attempts together to have a better chance of success. Let’s remember to change the water every two days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alternatively, we can place the cutting in a small jar with a mixture of 80% peat moss and 20% river sand. We insert the cutting and then spray the soil. Now, to promote rooting, we are going to create a homemade greenhouse effect.
We expose the jar in a sunny place but not in direct sun. And we always check that the soil is always moist. If it dries out, the plant could die. After about 4 months, the seedling will have started to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, it can be multiplied by seed. The seeds are found inside the flowers of the plant, after they have withered and the petals have fallen.
Take a jar of at least 10 cm in diameter and pour the seeds into it. With a fork we push down and rake the soil a little. Then we close with a bag. We water abundantly. After 10 days, the first seedlings will appear. Let us also remember in this case to expose it in a bright place and wet the soil often.
