Below we explain how to do it .

The orchid is a very common plant and is usually found in homes. In fact, with proper care, it will be very easy to treat it and always have flowers on the plant . Ideal temperature between 20°C, without direct sun and frequent but not excessive watering.

But like all plants, the orchid can attract parasites or fungi . The orchid gives you clear signals and you must catch them immediately. If the plant has fungi or pests, the leaves fall off and turn yellow. The flowers fall off and the stem dries up. If you look closely, even the roots will be different.

It is not that difficult to act, and below we will review all the steps to eliminate the fungus from the orchid so that it can thrive again. In fact, only a healthy plant will be flooded with colorful flowers that will beautify the environment in which it is located. So below we will tell you what to do with an orchid that has fungi.

Fungus-free orchid from a single ingredient

The orchid occurs in nature with up to 25,000 species, but it can also be affected by fungi and parasites. To get rid of them, however, you can use a single ingredient that you have at home and not buy specific insecticides or fungicides, which can often contain chemicals.

The ingredient we are talking about is garlic, which is used against fungi thanks to its high sulfur content . Simply take a clove of garlic, crush it and mince it. Now put it in a container with a lid with about 350 ml of water. Close it and leave it that way for 24 hours.

The next day, before drinking the water with garlic, you can prepare the orchid . First you have to remove it from the vase, removing all the moss and leaving the roots exposed. Then you have to clean the latter by cutting off the rotten and dead ones. Also remove dry stems and yellowed leaves.

Once you clean the orchid, rinse it well under running water. Pour the water with the garlic and clean all the leaves with a cotton ball soaked in it. Now you can pour the roots into a container with garlic water.

Taking care of the orchid is very easy, but fungi can attack it and with this trick you will have a super leafy plant.
