This is what they are, all natural.

Burnt pans can be a real nightmare to clean up, and often the situation is so dire that it seems irreparable. Fortunately, with the right methods and products it is possible to restore these pans to their original shine. Follow the steps below to effectively clean a burnt pan and make it look like new again.

Clean a burnt pot

To get started, prepare the necessary equipment: first you will need a larger pot in which you can submerge the burnt pot.

Make sure the largest pot is large enough to hold the entire burnt pot. You will also need water, washing powder, a potato, salt, baking powder, baking soda, 240-grit sandpaper, running water, liquid detergent and a sponge.

As a first step, fill the larger pot with water. Place the burnt pot inside the larger pot and fill it with water as well. Make sure there is enough water to completely cover the burnt pan.

Now turn on the stove: put the larger pot on the stove and let the water reach the boiling point. The hot water will help loosen any burnt scales in the pan.

Once done, add the washing powder. Once the water reaches the boiling point, add some detergent directly to the burnt pot. This will help break up the scales and remove them more easily. Leave it on for as long as necessary, maybe a few hours.

Polishing the inlays with the potato paste.

While the burnt scales are softening , let’s prepare the ultimate remedy to also degrease the residues present in your burnt pan. It is a totally natural degreasing paste, made from potatoes.

In a separate bowl, grate a potato and add some salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix the ingredients well until you get your polishing paste. At this point, remove the burnt pot: carefully remove it from the boiling water. Be sure to protect your hands with gloves or handles to avoid burning.

Now empty the water and detergent from the pan. You will notice that the pan will already be cleaner thanks to the process of boiling with detergent. It’s time to apply the polishing paste. Take a tablespoon of the previously prepared potato polishing paste and spread it inside the pot.

Use a piece of 240-grit sandpaper to gently rub the paste over the entire surface of the pot. Then, add a little water from time to time to keep the surface moist while you rub.

Once you’re done scrubbing, rinse the pot under running water to remove any burnt and stuck residue. The inside of the saucepan should now be shiny and clean, with no burn marks.

If the burn is also present on the outside

If the outside of the pot is also burned, repeat the same steps above to apply potato polishing paste to the outer surface. Then, rinse the pot under running water and, if necessary, use some detergent and a sponge to remove any residue.

By following these simple steps, you will be able to remove burnt scales and return your pan to its original state. Always remember to be careful and protect your hands during the cleaning process to avoid injury. Now you can enjoy a clean and sparkling pan for your future culinary preparations.

A burnt pot is not irrecoverable, you just have to know how to treat it with the right ingredients.
