Sold in the supermarket, they are usually <strong>harvested a little green<\/strong> (otherwise, they would not arrive in good condition to the consumer), which prevents the strawberry from producing all the sugars it is capable of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_29888\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imilanesi.nanopress.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/come-coltivare-le-fragole.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29888\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, the more sugar a strawberry produces, the more strawberry flavor it has. By growing them at home, it is possible to harvest them at the right time, <strong>when they are already loaded with sugars and nutrients.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the best strawberry variety to grow?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are many types of strawberries, each with different bloom times: some bloom once a year, others spend the entire year in bloom. Don&#8217;t get confused, <strong>the care of all strains is practically the same<\/strong>, just choose the ones that catch your attention or the ones that excite you the most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_29889\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imilanesi.nanopress.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/pianta-di-fragole-selvatiche.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29889\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Wild strawberries are super small,<\/strong> but they compensate with a very intense flavor, they are very productive and, if we do not have the ideal light at home, they are also the best. They are practically not available in supermarkets because they are kept little or nothing, <strong>they have to be eaten the same day they are collected.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where to plant strawberries: light and climate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Strawberries <strong>are a good source of antioxidants,<\/strong> including anthocyanins, which give them their characteristic red color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Antioxidants help <strong>protect cells from free radical damage<\/strong> and may have health benefits, such as reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and some cancers. All reasons to always have them fresh and at zero cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Strawberries love the sun,<\/strong> so choose a sunny spot, <strong>with about seven hours of direct sunlight. <\/strong>But, although it is a great lover of the sun, it tolerates shade quite well, although its production will be much lower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This fruit withstands a wide range of temperatures. <\/strong>Their optimal temperature, where they develop new stems, flowers and fruits, is 10-13\u00baC at night and 18-22\u00baC during the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To grow them at home you don&#8217;t need much, just set aside some plastic bottles, the wider the better. <strong>They are then cut in half with a cutter,<\/strong> after which holes are drilled around the packages with a hot punch or screwdriver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can use both the part with the lid and the ones with the bottom. Now we can tie a string to the sides, <strong>so we can hang them in the sun.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To grow strawberry seedlings, <strong>place them in a plastic bag or cling film. <\/strong>Then you put some soil and a slice of banana with all the peel, and then the strawberry seedlings. The plastic closes to keep everything tidy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_29897\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imilanesi.nanopress.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/come-coltivare-le-fragole-.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29897\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>After 15 days<\/strong>, once the seedlings have been detached from the bags, it will be seen that they have begun to put out many small roots. Each seedling is placed <strong>in the soil that has been poured into pots hanging in the sun, exactly in the center.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We water them regularly and after two months we will see how the strawberry plants gain strength and revitalize.
