Marble grit floors<\/strong> have been very popular in Italy in recent decades. They were very common in our grandmothers’ homes, as they represented a cheaper alternative to other types of materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although they have gone out of fashion, marble grit floors are still present in our homes, and they retain a great charm<\/strong>, especially when they are original and ancient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not to mention that marble grit is also very resistant to blows and wear. Our grandparents were right to prefer it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only drawback of this type of flooring is that they tend to lose their classic shine<\/strong>. But fear not: you can thoroughly clean and polish marble grit floors with all-natural ingredients<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below we suggest two effective remedies for having highly polished marble grit floors<\/strong>, as if they were new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natural detergent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baking soda is abrasive enough to remove dirt without scratching the floor. Mixing it with alcohol and Marseille soap makes a perfect detergent for marble grit floors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mix 3 tablespoons of baking soda with 10 tablespoons of alcohol and 1 tablespoon of liquid Marseille soap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have a homogeneous mixture, dip a cloth in it and wipe it all over the floor. After about 5 minutes, rinse with a cloth soaked in warm water and well wrung out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Repeat the application several times until you have a completely shiny floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use only rubbing alcohol<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This remedy is as simple as it is effective. Simply pour 5 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol into a bucket filled with warm water, and use the solution to clean the floor normally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No rinsing will be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
