All you will need is soil, seeds, and a cup. Here we go!

How to grow your (first) lemon tree?

• Choose the largest seeds from a lemon and clean them thoroughly.
• Let them soak in a glass of water for 6 to 7 days, changing the water daily.
• In a cup, place some stones at the bottom to facilitate drainage. Then fill with moist soil. Then put the seeds leaving a space of 5mm between each seed.
• Cover the seeds with coarse sand or gravel.
• Mist the surface with water every 2 or 3 days, and always cover the pot with a bag or paper to create a greenhouse effect.
After 7-8 days, young shoots will appear.

Later, you can move the most beautiful and hardy of these plants to transplant them into larger individual pots, so that your lemon tree will grow better. Please note that the composition of the soil must remain the same.

Place your lemon tree in a sunny, cool room. During winter, water it sparingly and protect it from the cold by keeping it indoors. Don’t worry if some leaves fall, it’s normal.
In the spring, cut off unwanted branches. In summer, it will need to be watered regularly and placed outside.

Growing a lemon tree is a pleasant experience, although it will take 3 to 4 years to collect its first fruit.
