All without using bleach. Here&#8217;s how to make your towels look like new again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Remedies for whitening white towels<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are various natural remedies that replace bleach and make towels white again. You need some ingredients that are readily available in the kitchen pantry and beyond.&nbsp;<strong>Here&#8217;s what you can use to bleach towels:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_518794\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/donna.nanopress.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/Asciugamani-bianchi-donna.nanopress.it_.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-518794\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bicarbonate<\/strong>\u00a0: It has whitening properties and is very effective. Simply put 4 tablespoons of baking soda in a bowl of hot water and then submerge the yellowish or stained towels. Leave to soak for a few hours or a whole night. Then proceed to wash either by hand or in the washing machine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_518796\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/donna.nanopress.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/bicarbonato-di-sodio-donna.nanopress.it_-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-518796\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Vinegar: This<\/strong>\u00a0also has a strong degreasing and bleaching action. Simply pour half a glass into a bowl of hot water and let the towels soak for a few hours or overnight. Then proceed with the common wash either by hand or in the washing machine. The vinegar will also help eliminate bad odors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Citric acid<\/strong>: more ecological than vinegar and even more effective. Simply dissolve 150 g of citric acid in 1 liter of warm water. Then pour approximately 100 ml of this mixture into the washing machine tub when you start washing the towels. Otherwise, if you want to proceed by hand, simply leave the towels to soak and then rinse them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sodium Percarbonate<\/strong>: This can be considered a relative of baking soda and the more eco-friendly version of bleach. Simply dissolve it in water at high temperatures above at least 30\u00b0, so it is best to use it in the washing machine by inserting a dosing spoon into the detergent drawer. Alternatively, however, it is possible to boil the water so that it is very hot and then add 2 tablespoons of pre-soda to the container.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_518795\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/donna.nanopress.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/asciugamani-in-ammollo-donna.nanopress.it_.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-518795\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lemon<\/strong>: Simply cut two slices and pour them into 1 L of boiling water and then add the towels and let them soak for about 30 minutes before proceeding with the normal wash. If you prefer to wash in the washing machine, you can put a mixture of half a glass of lemon juice and half a glass of water in the detergent compartment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hydrogen peroxide<\/strong>: Although this isn&#8217;t really a natural method, it works for whitening. Simply add a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide to the washing machine and proceed to wash the towels. However, be careful to only put whites in the washing machine and to use hydrogen peroxide at a low volume.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the advice is to always read the labels on the garments and follow the instructions. Often, some garments should be washed by hand and avoided in the washing machine.
